Keep your cool (Week 3)

Romans 13:8 – “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.”

There is nothing wrong with anger, many of us just don’t know how to deal with our anger.

when we don’t know how to respond to our anger it turns into actions we later regret.

Blender of Anger:

Milk: The first ingredient in our anger is when we don’t deal with something, and it turns sour.

Ketchup: No matter how hard we try to hide it (this anger that’s deep in our heart), it comes out under certain circumstances.

Corn syrup: Step three in the stage of anger is that you can’t see it anymore.
Out of our heart the mouth speaks. Sometimes we bury things deep in our heart and we begin responding to everything around us with anger and we don’t even realize why.

Vinegar: Contempt is simply hate, it is to disregard an individual and see them as a lesser or as a de-valued part of society.

Find your way out of anger with your GPS.

Go to the person at whom you are angry, be honest, and confess your anger

Pray for the Lord’s forgiveness and ask Him to reveal the parts of your heart that have the ingredients of anger

Seek forgiveness from the person at whom you have been angry.
